New Directions in Mental Health Treatment

NAMI Minnesota is pleased to bring you the latest research from the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry. University researchers will present their latest findings, introduce new studies that are underway and answer your questions. Join us for an evening of information and hope.

New Approaches to Addressing Mental Health Symptoms in Adults

Michael Bronstein, PhD, Assistant Professor – University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences


New Approaches to Improve Dating and Intimacy Skills in Young Adults Experiencing Psychosis

Melissa Dalhoe, DSW, MSW, LICSW, Assistant Professor – University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences


New Ways of Helping Mothers with Addiction and their Children

Anita Randolph, PhD, Assistant Professor – University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences


Participants can earn 1.5 social work CEUs for attending.


Dinner includes an entree, salad and dessert.

The cost for this event, co-sponsored by NAMI Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry.

Doors open at 5:30pm; dinner will be served at 6pm, with presentations starting shortly after and going until 8pm.

NAMI Minnesota Cancellation Policy: NAMI Minnesota thanks you for registering to attend one of our events. We understand that unforeseen situations arise and you may need to cancel your registration. If you are unable to attend, a substitute individual is welcome to attend in your place, but NAMI Minnesota must be notified in writing (e-mail is acceptable) with the name and contact information for the person who will be attending.
NAMI Minnesota reserves the right to cancel any event, conference or class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If there is a cancellation, participants will be notified by telephone and/or email as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.

Refund Policy:

Refunds for paid events are issued per the following:

  • A full refund of 100% will be issued if you cancel more than 14 calendar days prior to the start date.
  • A partial refund of 50% will be issued if you cancel 7-14 calendar days prior to the start date.
  • No refund or credit will be given if you cancel less than 7 calendar days prior to the start date.

NAMI Minnesota reserves the right to cancel any event, conference, or class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If there is a cancellation, participants will be notified by telephone and/or email as soon as possible. NAMI Minnesota will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.
