About this Event
The NAMI Indiana State Conference brings together people looking for new and better ways to manage and live with serious mental illnesses and how they can help others.
The 2025 State Conference will spotlight Indiana's latest advancement in mental health response, while exploring ideas for navigating mental illness in various stages and for different demographics. Individuals living with mental illness will share hope through their own experiences, and experts will introduce treatment methods and resources you may have not considered. There is something new and insightful to be gained for everyone in attendance.

Morning Keynote:
Understanding the Evolving Role of AI in Mental HealthThe presentation explores AI's role in mental healthcare. It examines the application of machine learning, large language models, and simpler chatbots. While some benefits are emerging, safety, accessibility, efficacy, and engagement are crucial. Finally, it highlights the role NAMI can play in shaping the future of AI in mental health.
Afternoon Keynote:
Kody Green
Kody Green (He/Him) is a 30-year-old diagnosed with Schizophrenia. He is a motivational speaker and content creator with a following of over 2 million followers across social media. Kody’s journey has included challenges with drug addiction, incarceration, and serious mental health struggles.To deepen his impact as an advocate and speaker, Kody trained as a peer support specialist, recovery coach, and suicide prevention specialist.He will share his personal experiences and insights on overcoming adversity, navigating mental health challenges, and rebuilding life after incarceration. Kody’s dedication to mental health advocacy, schizophrenia awareness, drug recovery, and second-chance opportunities is fueled by his own lived experiences.

- Better Outcomes: Strengthening the Partnership Between Community Mental Health Centers and local NAMI Affiliates
- Suicide Prevention for Youth Living in Rural Indiana
- The Indiana Community Challenge to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and their Families
- The Quality of Life Diversion Program: One Possible Solution to both the Mental Health Epidemic and Housing Crisis for those in our Criminal Justice System

Continuing Education
- Up to 5.0 Catergory 1 CEUs for social workers, addiction counselors, marriage & family therapists and mental health counselors through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency
- Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) credits for Law Enforcement Officers
All continuing education credits are included with registration and are not an additional cost. It is up to the individual to properly record continuing education.
