NAMI Family & Friends is a free 4-hour seminar that informs and supports family members, significant others, and friends who have loved ones with a mental health condition. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation, and NAMI resources. This 4-hour seminar will be led by certified, experienced teachers of NAMI Family-to-Family. Seminar leaders are also family members and know what it’s like to have a loved one with a mental health condition. Participants will receive a free manual that they can keep, and refreshments will be served. This seminar will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Lowndes Hall, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1601 S. Georgia St. Enter where you see the NAMI flag at the southeast corner of Lowndes Hall, near I-40. Someone will be at the door to let you in. Email [email protected] for more information.
