May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Please join us for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Central Iowa presents: In Our Own Voice, a presentation that changes attitudes, assumptions and ideas about people with brain health conditions. These free presentations provide a personal perspective of brain health conditions, as leaders with lived experience talk openly about what it's like to have a mental health condition. People have an opportunity to hear open and honest perspectives on a highly misunderstood topic and a chance to ask presenters questions, allowing for a deeper understanding of brain health conditions and dispelling stereotypes and misconceptions.
