About this Event
Join QUEERSPACE for an informative session about the process of legally changing your name and/or gender marker. A team of lawyers from the Volunteer Lawyers Network will present the basic steps for making these changes. They will also answer any questions you might have, in either a group or one on one setting. Lawyers will be available to help prepare paperwork at the event.
This event is open to youth, ages 16-24, and their caregivers. In most cases, youth over the age of 18 will be able to submit for a name and/or gender marker change on their own. Youth under 18 will need support from their legal guardian to legally file, but they can attend the clinic on their own to get information. Prior participation in QUEERSPACE programming is not required.
