About this Event
To support young adults and youth in our community and the Caswell Hill neighborhood, we are offering a FREE Naloxone to equip and support members of the community. We will be partnering with the University of Saskatchewan, School of Public Health. I believe that this will be a valuable training for ALL interested community and church members in collaboration with our Red Cross First Aid and CPR program offering. The date is scheduled for Sunday Nov 23 at 10am and training is approximately 1-2 hrs long. We will be providing snacks and drinks. Pre-registeration through a public Eventbrite will be mandatory to pre-order naloxone kits for attendees.Naloxone education and training decreases the risks of opioid overdoses in our communities. The education and training will give people the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to the signs of an opioid overdose. Naloxone has the potential to reverse an overdose and save a life. Everyone who attends training will leave with a free Naloxone kit.
