Join us for a free workshop where community members will be trained in the safe and effective use of Naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. This workshop is open to everyone—no medical background is needed, and all materials will be provided. Certified trainers will guide participants through recognizing the signs of an overdose, administering Naloxone, and understanding the importance of quick response in an emergency.
Why This Training is Important:
Opioid overdose has become a serious public health crisis affecting communities across the country. Knowing how to use Naloxone can save lives and give someone a second chance to seek treatment and recover. This training empowers participants to make a difference, whether they’re a concerned neighbor, a friend, or just someone who wants to help keep their community safe.
Equipped with this training, you’ll be prepared to act confidently and compassionately in a crisis. The more community members who are trained in Naloxone administration, the greater our capacity to respond swiftly to overdoses and reduce preventable deaths. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive environment for everyone.
What You Will Learn:
• How to recognize signs of an opioid overdose
• Step-by-step guidance on administering Naloxone
• Emergency procedures to follow after administering Naloxone
Whether you’re a family member, friend, or community advocate, this training can equip you with the tools to save lives. Together, we can make a difference by being ready to act in an emergency.
