About NAKLand
Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. began hosting NAKLand in November 1999 at San Diego State University (Beta Chapter). The Sigma Chapter of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. (UNCO) began hosting NAKLand on April 27th, 2008. They provide a free and welcoming space for children and families with a focus on higher education and literacy through the Latino/a community. The event features carnival-style games, activities, and educational resources.
About Festival del Barrio
Festival del Barrio is a cultural celebration that highlights the vibrancy, resilience, and traditions of Latinx/é communities. This event aims to bring together our community: students, families, resources, and local businesses to foster a deep commitment to community engagement, cultural appreciation, and support. Attendees will enjoy live performances/entertainment, delicious food, interactive activities, and the opportunity to connect with resources and vendors showcasing their work/products.
