Join us for our FREE Festival Finale – a fun, family-friendly day celebrating nature, creativity and some of Nairn’s amazing green spaces. The day starts with The Wave sea creature parade – come dressed up or wear something blue or green. Arrive early at 10.30am to pick up a puppet fish to carry, some merperson hair or a little sparkly glitter 'sea spray'! Meet at Green Hive Community Hub, Seaman's Hall. The parade will be led by environmental artist Gordon Maclellan, a stilt walker, and a band. All welcome!
The parade ends at James' Cafe at the Putting Green, where there will be creative activities with Nature 4 Health, storytelling with Creeping Toad, and live music. Various environmental groups will have stalls and activities in the Putting Green area, including Green Hive, Blue Space Highland, the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre, the Marine Conservation Trust and more...
Enjoy a specially created repertoire from Highland Brass at the Wallace Bandstand, and performance devised by Borealis Theatre Arts / Nairn Youth Theatre and University of the Highlands drama students, and look out for our 'Poetry Bomber' Caroline Burrows!
