This event, held during the July school holidays, aims to provide a fun and inclusive environment for participants of all skill levels. From young first-timers to seasoned players, everyone is welcome to join in the festivities and celebrate the essence of NAIDOC Week through basketball.
Activities and Age Groups:
The 3X3 Basketball Gala Days will feature a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain:
Skills sessions for 5-10 year olds
3×3 basketball tournament across the following divisions:
U12’s: Born 2015, 2014, 2013
U14’s: Born 2012, 2011
U16’s: Born 2010, 2009
Opens: Born 2008 & earlier
Participants can look forward to an exciting day filled with:
3X3 Basketball Games, shooting competitions, fun games with prizes, off-court activities, DJ playing music all day long with food and refreshments available at the event.
NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud,’ chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, highlights the importance of maintaining the connection to Country, culture, and community.
