About this Event
NADA is a five point ear acupuncture treatment with roots in community led healthcare pioneered by the Black Panthers and the Young Lords in 1970's New York. NADA stands for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association protocol, initially used to support people with addiction and to aid detoxification of the body. Since its development, it has been used around the world to support people and communities, providing accessible and community-led healthcare.
Experienced as a group in a circle, NADA promotes relaxation and wellbeing, improved sleep and stimulation & strengthening of the body's meridians. Participants do not need a diagnosis for treatment, and you can choose to have acupuncture or acupressure if you are not comfortable with needles.
Molly Daniel is a trained NADA GB practitioner with a background in care and community work.
NADA is free at the point of entry in keeping with our principles; please select a ticket price that reflects what you’re able to contribute to support the continuation of the sessions. Contributions can also be left in cash/card after the circle.
Space is limited; please book online or email [email protected] to reserve your spot. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking is the only way to guarantee a treatment.
If you can no longer attend, please let me know so we can offer your place to someone else.

HOUSEKEEPING - Please read this important information before attending.
- Sessions start promptly. To keep our circle a quiet space, late entry is not guaranteed. If you do arrive late, please wait in the hall—if there is still capacity and time to fit you in, we will bring you.
- Phones/bags etc. must be placed to the side before treatment begins. Please ensure your phone is on silent.
- Footwear must be fully enclosed; we can not allow anyone with sandals or any open-toe shoes into the room.
-Wear clothes that are comfortable to sit in. Consider an extra layer, as it is usual for your body temperature to drop during treatment.
- Please be aware that the blood transfusion service requires recipients of acupuncture to refrain from donating blood for 6 months after treatment.
- It is recommended not to drink caffeine before your treatment and to have had a meal or two, depending on the time of your session.
- After your treatment, you may feel tired and may want to consider leaving your plans open so you can rest.
- If something changes and you can’t attend, please cancel your place as soon as possible. Spaces are limited, and releasing your ticket allows someone else in the community to receive support.
- Please attend in a state where you are able to give informed consent and participate safely.
