Nacha Mendez

Nacha Mendez brings an expansive, genre-defying sound rooted in pan-Latin traditions, fearless experimentation, and lived experience. Guided by a powerful, expressive voice, her music weaves ranchera, flamenco, classical, and contemporary influences into something wholly her own.

Raised in southern New Mexico, Nacha learned traditional canción from her grandmother and went on to study classical voice and electronic music before an acclaimed career spanning opera, international touring, and collaborations with groundbreaking composers and artists. A New Mexico Platinum Music Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and winner of the 2025 New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts, Nacha performs original, eclectic songs that are as soulful as they are expansive.
