Curious to see what we’re all about? Guests are always welcome to drop in and experience a meeting before deciding to join.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, our supportive and friendly club is the perfect place to thrive. We’d love to see you there!
About Toastmasters: Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. By participating in our club, you can develop your public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive and positive learning environment. Members improve through practice and feedback from fellow members, helping them gain confidence and competence in a variety of personal and professional settings.
When we meet: Naas Toastmasters, proudly established in 1991, meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from September to June. Our meetings start promptly at 7.45pm, so if it's your first time, we recommend arriving a little early so we can greet you and help you settle in.
What to expect: As our guest, you are very welcome to join us free of charge to experience what our club is all about. Our meetings are structured yet friendly, beginning with prepared speeches in the first half. We then take a short break for tea and chats, allowing everyone to mingle and relax. After the break, we dive into the most fun part of the night – table topics. Don’t worry, as a guest, you’re not expected to participate in the table topics unless you want to!
Where we meet: Our meetings are held at the Luisne Centre at McAuley Place in Naas. It’s a stunning, newly renovated outbuilding beside the main centre, accessed through the carpark next to the Church on the Sallins Road. If you're driving, you can park in the carpark free of charge. Once you enter the carpark, keep walking towards the primary school. You'll see the entrance to the main community centre on the left-hand side, with the entrance to the Luisne Centre directly opposite on the right.
Joining Toastmasters can offer numerous benefits, including:
- Enhanced public speaking and communication skills
- Improved leadership abilities
- Increased confidence and self-esteem
- Networking opportunities with like-minded individuals
- Constructive feedback and a supportive learning environment
- It's also a lot of fun!
The best thing to do is to come along to our next meeting free of charge to check it out for yourself.
