Our Speakers<h4>Tyler Agius - Director of State Facilitated Development</h4><h4>Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works</h4>
Tyler Agius currently leads the creation of the new State Facilitated Development Team, a pivotal component of the Homes for Queenslanders plan. This team aims to expedite the planning process for state priority developments, specifically those that include affordable housing. Additionally, the State Facilitated Development Team will oversee five pilot projects, each designed to test different models of inclusionary planning in Queensland.
Before assuming this role, Tyler served as the Director of the Growth Areas Team, successfully delivering several key projects across South East Queensland. He also played a crucial role as the lead for Victoria’s Infrastructure Planning and Contributions system within the Victorian Planning Authority. Throughout his career, Tyler has been recognised for bridging gaps between various government departments, stakeholders, and industry players to drive positive planning and infrastructure outcomes.
Alana is a Principal Floodplain Management Engineer at City of Moreton Bay, responsible for undertaking and overseeing floodplain investigations and analysis. She supports delivery of flood studies, infrastructure investigations and projects, maintenance of Council’s Regional Flood Database, and provides technical advice on flood matters. Alana has a passion for enabling sustainable interactions between human systems and the floodplain, and delivering with a focus on the community.
Colin is the Regional Business Line Director for AECOM's Resources and Industry business with thirty years’ Electrical Engineering and Management experience in mining and industrial areas. His role encompasses delivery of strategic growth strategies within ANZ, along with project sponsorship, technical governance and leadership mentoring.
Ronnie is an Associate Director within the transport advisory team at AECOM in the Civil Infrastructure business line. With over 15 years of experience, Ronnie provides specialist technical advice and project management across a variety of transport project types. His project management experience includes leading critical initiatives, such as the Cleveland Redland Bay Road Anita Street to Magnolia Parade project, where he successfully managed Options Analysis, Business Case development, and Detailed Design.
