Cao Thanh Lan & Gregor Siedl và Heritage Art Space trân trọng giới thiệu triển lãm nghệ thuật Âm Âm - Drone & Drone, một sắp đặt lấy cảm hứng từ sáo diều Việt Nam. Triển lãm được hỗ trợ bởi Complex 01, Nghề Nghệ và Đại sứ quán Áo tại Việt Nam.
Tác phẩm xoay quanh khái niệm “drone” với hai ý nghĩa đối lập: một mặt là “drone” - thứ âm thanh cổ xưa, yên bình của sáo diều, cũng như của nhiều dòng âm nhạc dân gian thế giới; mặt khác là “drone” - máy bay không người lái, hiện thân của công nghệ và chiến tranh hiện đại.
Ít người biết rằng những chiếc drone không người lái đầu tiên đã được quân đội Mỹ sử dụng trong chiến tranh Việt Nam, chủ yếu cho các nhiệm vụ trinh sát quân sự, tác chiến điện tử và chiến tranh tâm lý. Cũng là vật thể bay, nhưng những chiếc diều sáo - bắt nguồn từ truyền thống lâu đời Việt Nam - lại là biểu tượng cho khát vọng hòa bình và thịnh vượng của con người. “Âm & Âm” mời gọi sự chiêm nghiệm về bản chất lưỡng diện của con người – vừa mang trong mình khả năng hủy diệt thế giới và chính bản thân, vừa có khả năng tạo ra cái đẹp, sự siêu việt và những điều thiện lành.
Bên cạnh trưng bày cố định tại Complex 01, trong khuôn khổ triển lãm chúng tôi mời bạn cùng tham gia chuyến nghe dạo bằng xe máy gắn sáo diều, di chuyển xung quanh Hà Nội vào sáng Chủ nhật, 25.01.2025.

Cao Thanh Lan & Gregor Siedl, together with Heritage Art Space, are pleased to present Âm Âm – Drone & Drone, an art installation inspired by the Vietnamese kite flute. The exhibition is supported by Complex 01, Nghề Nghệ and the Austrian Embassy in Vietnam.
Drone & Drone is an installation for 16 Vietnamese kite flutes that is conceived and developed by artist group Siedl/Cao. This work centers around “drone” - both as a pilotless aircraft i.e. the future of warfare and at the same time “drone” as an ancient healing sustaining music.
Not many people know that some of the earliest unmanned drones were used by the American army during the Vietnam war, primarily for military observation, electronic warfare, decoy missions and in psychological warfare. On the contrary the kite flutes used in this installation come from a long-standing and still vibrant tradition in Vietnam, which symbolises people’s hope for peace and prosperity. “Drone & Drone” invites contemplation on the dual nature of humanity—the potential to create beauty, goodness, and transcendence while also possessing the power to destroy both the world and ourselves.
Alongside the exhibition on view at Complex 01, we invite you to join a special listening ride as part of the program: a motorbike journey fitted with kite flutes, moving through the streets of Hanoi on Sunday morning, January 25, 2025.
