même. and SoulMaison present the 1st annual family FIELD DAY picnic in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 27th!
FIELD DAY is a 1-day community-led event encouraging mental wellness through outdoor play, celebrating kids, and providing a space for families to gather and nurture new relationships with one another, for FREE!
When thinking of our own childhood nostalgic memories, field day was easily something that stood out, even decades later. Spending a day outside, playing with friends in the neighborhood, parents hanging out and keeping us all together, it was a day we looked forward to every summer.
While dreaming up this event, it happened to be at one of our workshops in the heart of Downtown LA. All the kids were running around making new friends and parents were getting acquainted with one another - the vibe was just right! We got to talking with more parents about how hard it is to find spaces for families to gather, without there being a barrier to entry.
What can you expect at FIELD DAY? A full afternoon of family-friendly activities, filled with quintessential field day games like water balloon toss, tug o’ war, relay races, and open play. Consider it a family picnic! Bring a blanket, pack a lunch, and we got the rest!
