About this Event
Join us for the Mzee Elder Circle, an intimate gathering inviting elders from Black and racialized communities across Ontario to share their lived experiences and cultural wisdom.
This event introduces the Mzee to Youth Film Project, a documentary initiative by Ifarada and Kujipenda that uplifts the stories of elders who journeyed to Canada over the past 60 years.
This circle is a space for our beloved elders to come together, share stories, wisdom, and connect with one another. Join us for a heartwarming afternoon filled with laughter, memories, and new friendships. Let's cherish our elders and celebrate the richness they bring to our community. Mark your calendars and we'll see you there!
Through conversation and connection, we’ll explore themes of family, migration, resilience, creativity, and the fight against anti-Black racism. Elders interested in being featured in the upcoming film will have an opportunity to learn more about the project and how to participate.
