About this Event
Wakefield Litfest has always been rooted in the district’s history, but this year we’ve done something a little bit different. Instead of basing our work in reality, we thought what if? The UK is a country filled with local myths and legends from the Loch Ness Monster, the Green Man, Kings and Outlaws, there seems to be a different tale around every corner. We have delved into the fantastical stories of Wakefield through narrative poems, delving into the depths of what could be lurking in our forgotten history. Join us for a couple of hours to explore these new creative ideas and enjoy some coffee and cake!
The event is at Treacy Hall next to Wakefield Cathedral on the 21st of February from 4-6pm.
This project is led by Yew Tree Youth Theatre and supported by Empath Theatre CIC, and funded by Leeds Community Foundation.
