Workshop OverviewNicholas Roerich was a Russian artist, philosopher, and mystic that Rosicrucians are familiar with. He advocated for peace through art and culture at a time when peace was pursued through armaments. His paintings besides their magnificence have a quality of prophecy. His paintings used symbols to pierce the veil of the temporal to portray a glimpse of the eternal. Beauty in Action fills the human with ineffable love and understanding. We will review his philosophy and how he uses of colors, fire, mountains, legends and metaphors among other symbolisms to express this philosophy in art.
