About this Event
It's a little while since we've done one of these quilts, but they were hugely popular.
This course involves making a patchwork quilt with a completed size of around 46.5" x 59.5" / 120cm x 155cm. However, the final design of the quilt remains a MYSTERY. On arrival, you will choose your fabrics and cut out (help can be given with this, time permitting). You will be provided with "clues" throughout the day, which will be used to assemble the blocks for each step. Help will be on hand for ironing, stitch ripping or trimming blocks, so that you can concentrate on your sewing.
All materials for your quilt top and binding are included in the price of the shop. You can upgrade to designer fabrics for an additional fee. Wadding and backing are NOT included.
Come along and join in the mystery!
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cake are included.
This is an all-day course, so you will need to either bring a packed lunch, or buy something from a local shop on the day.
Skill level: Intermediate
Although the actual quilting techniques used are fairly basic, this class is marked as intermediate because you will need to take your quilt away to layer up, quilt and bind independently.
Terms and conditions:
Our workshops are open to individuals aged fourteen and upwards. However, a responsible adult must remain on site at all time with minors.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
