Join Us for Limerick’s Mystery Pop-Up: Telling the Limerick Food Story
This is not your average dinner.
On Thursday, September 18th, a select number of lucky guests will gather in a secret location to experience a once-off, immersive dining experience unlike anything else in the city.
The Mystery Pop-Up is the flagship event of the Flavours of Limerick food festival — a night designed to celebrate the richness of Limerick’s land, rivers, traditions, and talent. It’s a culinary love letter to the region and the people who feed it.
This four-course journey will tell Limerick’s food story through its most authentic ingredients — grown, foraged, harvested, brewed, baked, distilled, and fished right here in the city and surrounding areas:
- Traditional recipes from old Limerick bakeries
- Wild seaweed once sold by street sellers
- Free-range pork from Curragh Chase
- Beer and whiskey from the city’s new makers
- Orchard fruit from Attyflinn
- Vegetables from Bruff and Askeaton
- River trout caught where the Shannon meets the Abbey
- Beef from Croom’s fertile pastures
- Mushrooms from the borderlands near Cork
- Coffee roasted in the historic Potato Market
- A show-stopping dessert inspired by that iconic red chimney above the Shannon
Each course is paired with storytelling, ingredients rooted in place, and a spirit of celebration. The venue? That’s still a secret. The chef? A surprise. But trust us — this one will be talked about long after the final bite.
