Dear Saints,Greetings from Myrtle Baptist Church! We are an historically African-American church in West Newton that has served our community as the spiritual home for many Greater Boston and Metro-West residents for 150 years.
Our Church has a rich history, beginning with Newton's early black residents, several of whom made it their home after relocating from Boston's West End to Newton in the mid-1800s.
Myrtle Baptist Church takes great pleasure in announcing our 150th Anniversary Celebration weekend. It kicks off on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the elegant Venezia Restaurant in Boston. Get ready for a memorable afternoon filled with delicious food, uplifting speeches, and joyful fellowship. Come dressed to impress and ready to make new memories with old friends.

Finally, get your praise on at the anniversary concert, 3:00pm on Sunday, October 27th. Myrtle's former and current directors will lead our anniversary choir members with music from the past.
