Author and Creative Writing Adjunct Professor Myra Tejada Rasmussen to Read at Pomegranate Books on Sept. 16.Myra Tejada Rasmussen, adjunct professor and MFA alumna at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, will read at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, at Pomegranate Books.
Myra Tejada Rasmussen is a Peruvian/Mexican/American woman and poet. Chakana, with Kelsay Books, is her first collection. Her poems have appeared in Home Planet News and Boundless 2025: The Anthology of the Rio Grande Valley International Poetry Festival. She has been a semi-finalist for the James Applewhite Poetry Prize and a finalist for the Poet’s Billow Pangaea Poetry Prize. She teaches poetry and journal writing in the Creative Writing program at University of North Carolina Wilmington. She lives in Wilmington.
