Our accredited day course in Myofascial Dry Cupping / Clinical Cupping is designed for those who are looking to use Dry Cupping modalities professionally within massage therapy, injury treatment and rehabilitation.
This course is open to Sports Massage Therapists at Level 3 or above, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists as continued professional development.

Teaching Methods: This course is taught using a hands-on approach, therefore you will be practising Dry Cupping Therapy throughout the teaching day, whilst receiving ongoing input from the tutor.
Entry requirements and Background:
Course applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old and must hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage Therapy or Massage Therapy.
Applicants should have also been practising Sports or Massage Therapy for a period of time prior to enrolling on this course.
Our course will focus on the application and theory behind the use of Dry Cupping Therapy.
The use of Dry Cupping Therapy within Sports and Remedial Massage treatment will be discussed along with its' benefit in relation to manual massage techniques.
The traditional method of Dry Cupping Therapy in relation to modern Western approaches will be discussed in relation to use within Sports Massage and, other therapy modalities such as Physiotherapy and Osteopathy.
On completion of the course students will be able to demonstrate effective use and application of Dry Cupping Therapy in the management of Sports Massage Therapy and injury treatment in a safe and effective manner and will have a clear understanding of contraindications for treatment.
Overview of Course:
*Introduction to Dry Cupping Therapy
*Theory and physiology of Dry Cupping Therapy
*Application of use within Sports Massage Therapy and other therapy contexts.
*Demonstration and Application of a variety of Dry Cupping techniques
*Integration of Dry Cupping within therapy treatment and movement modalities
*Contraindications and Health and Safety considerations of Dry Cupping Therapy
*Techniques such as: Static cupping, flash cupping, slide cupping, Active Movement, STR and cupping within stretching modalities will be covered.
Course design:
This course is designed in relation to industry standards and accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the Sports Therapy Organisation.
This day course provides 8 Continual Professional Development
hours (CPD).
This training day will provide a mixture of practical application, theory work and supervised of treatment.
Course Tutor: Taught by Dawn Morse BSc, PGCE, MSc
Dawn has a Masters Degree in Sports and Health Sciences, is a Sports Massage Therapist and is qualified teacher. Dawn was the programme leader for the University of Bath Sports Therapy Foundation Degree for 9 years and is currently an Associate Lecturer for the Open University and the Director of Core Elements Training
