About this Event
Join the Entrepreneurs' Organization of Minnesota and their families for a rewarding evening of service with Second Harvest Heartland and contribute to Toys for Tots! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a direct impact by helping to sort and pack food for our community. Bring your family, friends, or a group—volunteers ages 8 and up are welcome!
Event Details:
- Location: Brooklyn Park Volunteer Center, 7101 Winnetka Ave N. Brooklyn Park, MN 55428
- Date and time: December 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Activities: Sorting, labeling, weighing, and packing food items like fresh produce, dry goods, and bread.
- Capacity: Group of 15 volunteers
- Shift Requirements:
- Ability to twist, bend, stand for the duration, and lift 5 pounds (or 40 pounds for some tasks). Limited seated positions available - let us know if you need accommodations.
- Volunteers should arrive 10-15 minutes before the shift for check-in.
Dress Code:
- Clothing: Comfortable, layered clothes (no tank tops or crop tops).
- Shoes: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
- Jewelry: No jewelry allowed in the food prep area—lockers and jewelry bags are available on-site.
A large box for donations to Toys for Tots will be in place as well. New unwrapped toys will be distributed to less fortunate children at Christmas.
