Mycoverse: Potluck & UV Walk - Listening to the More Than Human World

Join us in celebrating the inspiring More Than Human Rights movement with a potluck and discussion, followed by a UV walk in the garden to explore the flowers' hidden world of UV colors.

This discussion marks the beginning of our series exploring new research that supports activism, urging us to listen and develop better relationships with the more-than-human world. We will delve into the story behind the “Song of the Cedars,” where artist Cosmo Sheldrake and his team (including mycologist Giuliana Furci) co-composed a song with the Los Cedros cloud forest in Ecuador and how they are advocating for the forest’s co-authorship to gain legal recognition.

Discussion questions will be sent to participants in advance.

• Contribute to our potluck, when you RSVP let us know what you plan on bringing: a main vegeterian dish, fruits & vegetables, snacks, salad, drinks, and/or desserts. For each item you plan to bring please bring enough to share with 4-6 servings, if each sign up brings that many servings we should have more than enough for everyone.
• While mushroom dishes are encouraged and welcome, they are not required – we are not exclusive fungivores!
• Bring a UV light (365nm is best!) for the UV light walk after
