Get to know your (yoga) neighbors! Join us on Saturday October 4th from 2-4pm at Emerson Park Shelter E for the first ever MYC Community Picnic! Featuring:- potluck style shared meal
- activewear clothing swap
- community connections
- yard games
Free to attend and open to all. Bring a dish to share (or bring your own meal if you prefer), and bring some activewear clothing that no longer sparks joy to swap with others!
Potluck logistics:
- If you plan to bring a dish, please add it to this spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1flksR0wV0cX9IQhcVK9UCT6CVVI4cRxEbFWTSnvs4v4/edit?usp=sharing), and make a label for your dish with its name and any relevant dietary notes (gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, etc). Remember to bring a serving utensil too please.
- Disposable plates, silverware, napkins, & cups will be provided, BUT you're encouraged to bring your own reusable tableware items to reduce waste.
- Tea and water will be provided by the studio; feel free to bring another beverage of your choice.
- Potlucks are not your thing but you want to join the community mealtime? You can bring your own meal if you prefer!
- Can't bring a dish? No worries, nobody will go hungry as long as there's food left!
- Not a current MYC student? Join us anyway, all are welcome!
Activewear clothing swap logistics:
- All previously-loved items to be swapped will be collected & sorted by type between 2-3pm.
- Starting at 3pm, the swap tables will be open to find some new-to-you outfits to wear for class!
- Ensure everything you bring is clean and in decent shape
- Suggested categories include: yoga leggings, athletic shorts, workout tops and t-shirts, etc
- Any leftover clothing items will be donated to the Shelterhouse Resale Shop after the event.
