About this Event
Join us at the MyBB Bookclub!
Sessions must be booked in advance and will take place at the MyBookbasket bookshop by the Legacy Centre in Aston, Birmingham. Please book an online ticket if you wish to join us virtually and we will follow up with the relevant details.
Each month we travel the globe with a stimuating read from an African diaspora author. Recent discussions have included Octavia Butler's The Parable of the Sower, Kei Miller's Augustown, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's The Thing Around Your Neck and Ta Nehesi Coates, Between the World and Me.
Get your copy of our most recent choice from MyBookbasket or from whatever source and format is most convenient for you! Sessions are free but there is a small advanced charge for refreshments for in-person bookings. Book online or in the shop. Our June session takes place on Thursday 13th at 7.00-8.30pm. We will be reading Cherie Jones's gripping book How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House. To purchase a copy of the book, please click on the link below.
