We are closing this season with a selection of a cappella works spanning 4 centuries, from sixteenth century John Bennet, Orlando Lasso and Pierre Passereau, all the way through to contemporary composers, the youngest of whom is the Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds who was born in 1977.The eclectic programme, which features love songs, folk songs, sacred music, serious and humouristic music, quiet and boisterous pieces, is a perfect start to the summer season.
