My Macy's Holiday Parade was the sister parade to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Seattle Washington State from 1990 to 2019. With the Macy's store in Seattle closed the 2019 iteration of the parade was the last.
This year it's going to be the 26th Annual My Macy's Holiday Parade. This year’s parade features 25 inflatable floats local middle and high school marching bands nearly 650 costumed characters professional sports teams and community drill teams. Santa will dash in on his reindeer-led sleigh and head directly to his holiday post at Santaland® on the third floor at Macy’s Downtown Seattle. Visiting hours will begin at 11:00 a.m.
It's a smaller parade than its New York counterpart and doesn't feature any trademark balloons or mascots. Instead, this parade features smaller cold air floats (A bit like Balloonicles and Falloons) and its characters. The only balloon-related elements are some cold air-filled Gold Macy's Stars held by 2-4 people on the ground.
By 2015 the parade began to see some minor additions to match. The 2015 parade introduced a smaller version of the Cloe the Holiday Clown Balloonicle with the Doodlebug also appearing. In 2016 the inflatable costume version of Charlie the Elf led off the parade. 2017 saw the addition of an Aflac Duck cold-air float based on the third design of its balloonicle counterpart and duplicates of the Nutcracker and Mouse King Tricalloons.
