About this Event
Wil was living his life as a young adult and voted every two years for the national elections. Then in 2016 Donald Trump was elected. Coincidentally this was the same time that he was gravitating towards secularism and atheism. In an attempt to make this world a better place, and because he only has limited time and energy… he decided to mash those two interests together and Secular Houston was born in 2021.
He now has a platform from which to give secular politics a voice in the greater Houston area, as well as to educate people on why local politics is extremely important and how to vote in those local politics.

This event is free for all Atheists United paid members with a suggested donation of $10 for non-members.
Members are also welcome at our AU Sunday Social from 11AM - 12:30PM on the 4th Sunday of each month just before our speaker event. Free food and snacks for attendees.

The meeting will be hosted OUTDOORS AND IN PERSON and is first-come-first-serve for up to 60 guests. Please dress according to the weather. Proof of vaccination is required to attend.
Parking is EXTREMELY limited in a residential neighborhood. We strongly recommend carpooling and/or public transportation.
