2025年11月8日(土)午後4時からアストリアにあるNewtown Stage at Hellenic Cultural Center (25-02 Newtown Ave, Queens, NY 11102)にて過去２０年の日記をもとに脳梗塞や認知症になった祖父母との大変ながらも笑いに溢れた日々を描いた北村ゆいによる演劇作品「My Happy Grandparents - Unforgettable Days with Dementia and Secrets」のステージリーディングが開催される。祖父母が住む鹿児島に一時帰国した時の生活やニューヨークと日本をつなぐビデオチャットの様子、そして世界第二次大戦の時に祖父は海軍兵学校があった広島、祖母は長崎で過ごしていた思い出や、北村氏が作曲した歌も交えて池田鈴奈、愛世梨乃、中野研治、岡本展子が日本語で熱演。上演時間は約１００分。英語字幕。一般$20/シニア$10 (当日キャッシュのみ）musefriends.org
