Broadway Cabaret Camp
June 16-27, 2025, Monday- Friday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
For performers aged 12-18 years old
WHAT: Performers are invited to spend two weeks preparing a Cabaret Act performing a variety of classic and contemporary songs from popular Broadway shows. Participants will learn vocal techniques that suit their voice as well as how to present with confidence and tell powerful and fun stories through song and movement. Performers will be featured in a variety of ways in the final Cabaret performance with solo moments in duets/trios/quartets, small and full company numbers. This is a "no audition" opportunity. Performers will work with directors on familiar pieces the first day to determine vocal ranges and strengths. They then will receive instruction from the directors on repertoire to highlight their unique talents and foster individual growth. This educational theatre experience will be further enhanced by coaching provided by a visiting professional actor during one of the workshop days, just like on "The Voice!"
WHERE: Lemont High School Commons (cafeteria), 800 Porter Street, Lemont IL (enter through the Performing Arts Center)
HOW MUCH: $345 (includes Performance Shirt Fee) Additional siblings in either LMCT camp will receive a $25 discount.
WHAT ELSE: Don't forget to invite family and friends to watch the final performance on June 27 at 7:30 pm in the Lemont High School Commons. Two tickets for admission are included in the tuition. Additional tickets are available for $5/person.
