Sussex folk pop meets Louisiana Americana - two very different songwriters bringing something beautiful to each other's songs.------------------
Kris Wilkinson Hughes aka My Girl the River is a Louisiana native who landed in the UK after a decade performing in Nashville. With her ‘sugared espresso’ vocals and sharp writing, Kris is funny, warm and feisty with a sackful of hook laden songs.
She'll be drawing from her recently released and critically acclaimed album 'Songs About Space', a personal collection that travels all the way from the outer edges of the galaxy to a seedy bar in LA.
"stunned by the way she uses her voice.... smooth... but... a dangerously cutting edge... somewhere between Allison Russell, Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell" - Rockin' Magpie

“I am about to utter the most fearsome words in folk,” says Alan Young, aka Serious Child. “This is a song about my grandmother – and it’s a singalong.” - Arts Republic
With a poet’s ear for emotion and a comedian’s eye for detail, Young draws from folk and pop to explore stories of the everyday.
“writes about Britain today in a way that is almost tactile… with wit, style, intelligence and bags of melody” ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑ Spiral Earth
