This charming animated tale is based on the perennially popular, multi-award winning children's book by Eric Carle. It follows the peckish grub as it munches its way through various foodstuffs before spinning a cocoon, from which it emerges as a beautiful butterfly, teaching young viewers about numbers, the days of the week and the wonders of nature along the way. The film's style remains faithful to Carle's original illustrations, and it features the lugubriously humorous narration of acclaimed poet Roger McGough.
