About the Film
December 1978. Chile and Argentina are days away from starting an armed confrontation on the southern border. In Patagonia, a Chilean patrol accidentally breaks its compass and gets lost in the middle of the pampas. They dig their trenches without knowing whether they are in Chile or Argentina. A long wait begins, interrupted by an Argentine patrol that sets up in front of them. Both now await war, but the tense wait will give way to the friendship that develops between human beings who are enemies, yet, confused by the solitude of the pampas, walk a fragile line between duty and desire.
