OM WORKSHOPPENIn this workshop, you will be spiraling in and out of the floor with the Flying Low technique and improvising with it with Passing Through. Everyone plays, rolls, spirals to find ways to interact and interconnect with the whole group. Julia will guide you to explore the techniques and your own effortless movements, as you get inspired to new ways of moving alone and in a group.
Passing Through is an improvisation technique working with Zambrano’s philosophy. Interconnecting with everyone and the room at all times is the key, alongside transforming the environment full of infinite pathways to pass through the walls, the floor and other bodies! Thus, the passing through is created into a wild, spontaneous composition.
Flying Low is a floorwork technique developed by David Zambrano (Google him & Tictac Art Centre). This technique is a language that workshop tools that helps one to go into and out of the floor smoothly. Flying Low have sequences that have foundations to embody spirals to go into and out of the floor, sliding, connecting the room that support when Passing Through.

JULIA SIGER OM WORKSHOPPEN
I'm bringing techniques that I’ve learned through my Masters at Trinity Laban, with my time in Capoeira and clearly with the years I have been training with David Zambrano.
We will work throughout the day with going into and out of the floor, curves, group dynamic, sequences from the foundation of Flying Low and Passing Through.
I look forward to spending a lively time with you all and to get sweaty on the dance floor together.
OM JULIA TESTA
Julia is an artist, performer, photographer and movement teacher based in London for the last decade. Julia's artistic practice is based on relationships and experiencing “the present” and she teaches movement and Flying Low / Passing Through at The Place in London, at the Contemporary Dance School and at Centre of Advanced Training (CAT). Julia collaborates with many artists including musicians, visual artists and theatre makers. She regularly works for grant projects in diverse roles from production, performer, dancer or choreographer.
