Last night's discussion hit home with deep questions about Springfield organizations and trust. The Let Us Radicalize You book and workbook took us to some "courageous conversations" that were a bit uncomfortable, but necessary if we want real change in Springfield. We were grateful for each other and we realized the changes that each of us need to make to actually believe that we can make this a better place. Number one, be the people that marginalized folks can trust to stand up for them in when they are not there. That includes Black and Brown people, disabled, queer/trans, and immigrants. This is not a time to "get along to go along." Real change takes real courage. And the workbook reminded us that we have the capacity to be the change we want to see.
We are taking this slowly, so on November 29th, we will cover chapters 3-5. You still have time to join us!
