This high-energy event is the perfect way for kids to channel their inner rodeo stars as they race out of the chute for a fun and challenging experience.
Just like the professionals, participants are scored on both their own performance and on the animal, so everyone gets a score—even if they don’t make it to the six-second buzzer. Whether they’re just learning the ropes or already expert riders, Mutton Bustin’ is an unforgettable experience for all.

Rider Requirements:
- Children must be at least five years old on the day of the event.
- Participants must weigh less than 55 pounds.
- All riders must wear mandatory helmets and protective vests provided by Rodeo Corpus Christi.
- A release waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian before the child can participate.
