ClimbMuz creates a safe space for Muslim women and the POC community to experience the wonderful sport of climbing.

If coming from Canning Town station please take the exit for the bus station
What to expect:
A fun and inclusive session to get your body moving and having lots of fun along the way
Session:
This is a mixed ability session open to everyone (beginner friendly) from the V0 hero to the person who loves to dyno their way to the top.
Booking:
There are things that you need to do before you attend the session:
1) Fill in the registration form and sign the waiver click here
2) Rise Climbing recommends watching this safety video here
3) On-the-mats safety chat will be done for people who have not climbed before
Clothing:
Please come dressed in gym/workout clothing
jilbab/ abaya's need to be at a suitable length so your foot does not get caught whilst climbing
Please do not wear any rings as that can cause injury. Please be mindful of the jewellery you wear
There are changing areas available
Things to bring along:
Water bottles (Please keep this away from the climbing area as this can cause injuries)

Accessibility:
Step-Free and Wheelchair Access
There is a ramp outside the centre to access the main entrance and the ground floor climbing.
As well as approx. 60% of the climbing space in the centre, the ground floor also contains reception, café, toilets, shower, changing rooms, and lockers.
The first floor climbing area and gym is only accessible via two staircases, one on each side of the building, both made up of two flights of stairs.
Cycle Parking
Cycle parking is directly outside the main entrance of the centre, and is clearly visible from the reception desk. There are Sheffield bike stand which you can lock bikes to.
If you are particularly worried about leaving your bike locked up, we should have space to put it in the back for you - just ask at reception when you arrive.
Car Parking
Rise Climbing is in a restricted residents’ parking zone weekdays and Saturdays 08:00–18:30. During these times, you can pay for up to a maximum of 2 hours parking via PayByPhone on Caxton Street North, Nelson Street or Tarling Road. Outside of these times, parking is free.
There is blue badge parking on Caxton Street North.
Things to note:
There will be male staff members working at the front desk but will not be in the main climbing area unless there in an emeregency.
Female staff members will be present in the climbing area
CCTV will be in operation for safety reasons
Music will be playing but will be switched off to accommodate anyone who would like to pray
Group pictures and individual pictures will be taken - it is your responsibility to let ClimbMuz know if you do not feel comfortable.
Your valuables are your responsibility, ClimbMuz and Rise Climbing do not take any personal responsibility for things that go missing.
You are responsible for your own safety
Changing Rooms
Changing rooms are gender neutral with private cubicles and are available on the ground floor.
Lockers
Lockers are on the ground floor. Please bring your own padlock if possible. If you do not have your own padlock or forget don’t worry as we have a limited number of padlocks available to borrow (for free) from the front desk.
