Come join us for another ecstatic dance at the Underground Yoga studio at the Cassell Training Center in Muskegon!***Please read all of the details so you know what to expect :-)
Ecstatic dance is a free-from style of conscious dancing, encouraging self-expression and connection to oneself and others in a safe and judgment-free space.
Itinerary and guidelines:
-Doors open at 3:30, and the suggested arrival time is 3:45.
-There will be signs and a guide to help usher people through the building into the dance area.
-Shoes must be removed and stored in designated cubbies.
-Please place phones on Do Not Disturb.
-Dancing will begin shortly after 4:00.
-There will be a welcoming statement with some basic instructions and guidelines for newcomers to ecstatic dance.
-There will be a rest area if you need a break from dancing.
***This is a substance-free event.
***There will be no talking or phones on the dance floor, allowing people to become fully immersed in the music, movement, and connection.
***The building doors will lock at 4:10, and no re-entry will be permitted. We have been asked to lock the doors once the event begins.
$5-$10 suggested donation. Proceeds will go to the studio and towards supplies for future events. Cash or Venmo: @kendall-hailstone
Suggestions:
-Bring water.
-Eat something light if you need to eat beforehand, save a heavier meal for afterwards.
-Stay hydrated.
-Arrive on time.
-Wear something comfortable.
