The 37th Annual Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Fundraiser is an opportunity to honor our local sports heroes and legends.
This year the Hall of Fame will welcome an electrifying receiver and defensive back for Big Red football. One of the greatest playmakers in Muskegon Hockey history, a standout soccer player and soccer executive and a legendary State Champion football team. In addition, a distinguished service award recipient and a male and female student athlete will be honored.
The 2024 Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame induction class is comprised of legendary Muskegon High School football player Ronald Johnson, point scoring machine and fan favorite Muskegon Fury player Todd Robinson, Reeths Puffer and University of Michigan soccer star Matt Schmidt and the 1971 Muskegon High School State Championship football team
The Gene Young Distinguished Service Award recipient is I. John Snider, long time hockey supporter, owner and player as well respected community leader.
Male and female Scholar-Athlete Award winners will be announced in May.
The event will be held at the Van Dyk Mortgage Convention Center in downtown Muskegon on Saturday June 8, 2024. Social Hour at 5:00pm, dinner at 6:00pm with the program beginning around 7:00pm.
There will be a plated sit down dinner. Adult beverages will be available for purchase
