Musings from The M**der: A Poetry Workshop

Step into the world of words with Musings from the M**der, a poetry workshop designed to spark creativity, reflection, and connection. Our classes are small to provide a more cozy, connected vibe. Through guided writing exercises, group discussions, and shared exploration of poetic techniques, you'll have the opportunity to refine your voice and craft meaningful poetry in a close-knit, supportive space.

What to Expect:

What to Bring:

• A blank writing journal
  * We are starting your new journey, so choose one that speaks to you in its own special way just for this.
• Your favorite writing instrument
  * Make sure it flows right for you! Pen, pencil, quill, whatever you choose, be sure it’s one you will enjoy using for this.
• A positive attitude!
  * This is mandatory!
• An open mind!
  * This is a must! I plan to challenge your brain and make you think, be ready!

Age Requirements:

• The Emerald Vine Room has an 18+ policy we must adhere to for this event. Please check out our other events if you are in need of an 'all ages' option!

Food & Beverage Policy:

• Outside food and snacks are allowed. Please make sure to remove all trash at the end of the night.
• There is a 1 drink minimum requirement for all attendees. The bar offers a variety of mocktails, cocktails, beer and wine. The host has generously invited us to share their beautiful space for this event. Please be sure to take care of them.

Parking:

• There is plenty of free parking around the venue, and it is wheelchair accessible.

Welcome to my corner of the world, where poetry breathes life into the spaces between moments. My name is Danielle, and I write from a place of deep connection with the cycles of existence—the transitions between life and death, beginnings and endings, and the often unspoken beauty that resides in the in-between.

My poetry, including works such as The Cardinal and The Crow and The Eye of the Jay (coming 2025!), is rooted in themes of transformation and renewal. Through my writing, I explore the landscapes of self-discovery, the complexity of human emotion, and the quiet moments of reflection that stir our souls. The essence of my work lies in simplicity and depth, inviting readers to reflect, connect, and understand their own personal journeys.

My writing style blends lyrical elegance with vivid imagery, often drawing from nature and the cycles of the natural world. It’s a dance of words that evokes emotion, celebrates storytelling, and invites readers into a space where the abstract and the concrete meet. My work has always been about finding beauty in the everyday and exploring the deeper meaning of human existence.

As a teacher, my goal is to make poetry accessible, fun, and relatable. I believe that anyone can find their voice through poetry, regardless of age or ability, and I am passionate about creating a space for others to share their stories. Whether through workshops, writing prompts, or one-on-one sessions, I help others tap into their creativity, explore their emotions, and develop their unique poetic style. I want to show that poetry isn’t just for the poets—it’s for everyone who feels and experiences life deeply.
