Join artist and scholar OlaRonke Akinmowo (Creator/Director of ) for an intimate and explorative writing workshop at The Metropolitan Museum where participants will be invited to write works in response to pieces within the Lorna Simpson/SOURCE NOTES art exhibit. We will tour the exhibit, discuss the different methodologies of Ekphrastic writing and experiment with creating our own poetry, prose, creative nonfiction and fiction in response to Simpson's work..Bring your journal and your favorite writing utensils.
