Get your reps in & meet people from Station at the Musical Jam - a FREE improv jam for improvised singing! Instruments are welcome!Station Theater Improv Jams are for practicing improvisers only. This is not a show. It is an open practice that does not permit spectators.
Station Theater Jams are an excellent opportunity to practice on stage, get in your reps, and bond with fellow performers! All experience levels are welcome - from experienced veterans to students just starting. All attendees should be prepared to participate.

The Musical Improv Jam is a place for performers to connect and practice the art of improvised singing. We will work on song structures, singing with confidence, and more! Musicians are encouraged to bring instruments to accompany the songs! This is a closed event for improv performers and students from Houston. Visiting improvisers are also welcome.
Station Theater offers an array of specialty jams in addition to our Bi-Weekly Community Jams (1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month). Specialty Jams rotate on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Check events for dates!
Specialty Jams include:
- Diversity Jam for BIPOC performers - Hosted by Can't Tell Us Nothing
- Ma'am Jam for female and female-identifying performers - Hosted by Discharged
- Queer Improv Jam for LGBTQIA+ performers - Hosted by Arron Michaels
- Retro Jam for improvisers over the age of 40 - Hosted by The '80s Kids
- Polyglot Jam for improvisers who speak more than one language - Hosted by Astrid Lange
- Musical Jam for improvised singers and musicians - Hosted by Discord & Rhyme Musical Improv
You must have a ticket to attend. Only 20 attendees will be admitted, so get your tickets now! Please email [email protected] to cancel your ticket if you are unable to attend.
REQUIREMENTS
-All participants must be vaccinated and masked. Proof of vaccination is required.
-All participants must have a completed Releases & Acknowledgements document on file.
-Warm-up starts at 4:00pm. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the Jam starts.
-Must be 18 years or older.
-All participants must follow all policies of the Station Theater Handbook & Code of Conduct .

Located next to Toros HTX Soccer on Crockett between Taylor and Hemphill Streets.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION: Ample street parking is available along Crockett, Hemphill, Summer, and Taylor Streets. Please check street signs for parking availability. Do not park in the lot in front of Toros HTX unless they are closed. Please be mindful when parking in front of area homes, as some driveways are difficult to see. The #30 bus stops at Sawyer St and Shearn St, which is approximately a 2-minute walk. See attached photo of our building for reference.
