On the grounds of the decadently beautiful Phakalane Retreat, we will be gathering by our tented camp in residency from 25 - 30 March. TUESDAY 25 March
🔹Our event program starts at 18:00 with an opening ceremony and storytelling by the fireside.
WEDNESDAY 26 March
🔹We start the day at 09:00 with meditation, yoga and movement and relaxed connection time.
🔹Lunch by Seed2Fire firekitchen is filled with ayurvedic vegan goodness (cost R100)
🔹From 13:00 we join Love in a Bowl for their youth event at their farm grounds in Hout Bay
🔶At 18:00 starts our Songwriter Showcase featuring Dan Boshoff, Meri Kenaz, Neathyah, Joel Karabo Elliot, Naftali, Ali Cat, Karla Von Solms, Victoria Holleson, and Ntando Mbatha. THURSDAY 27 March
🔹We start the day at 08:00 with a guided hike into Camissa waters / Table Mountain forrest
🔹13:00 back at the camp we enjoy a delicious nutritious lunch by Seed2Fire (cost R100)
🔶At 17:00 we gather by the fireside for a Conversation Circle on the archetype of “The Wounded Healer”. We welcome the voices of healers, homeopaths, priests, rites of passage caretakers, and those inspired to contribute. The conversation is grounded by the generous vulnerability of Tanith Christie Scott (Seed2Fire) and Dizu Plaatjies. Tickets per donation. FRIDAY 28 March
🔹We start the day at 9:00 with movement, meditation and yoga
🔹At 12:00 we join Love in a Bowl in Imizamo Yethu for their regular soup kitchen, sharing music and supporting the team
🔶At 18:00 we gather by the fireside for a Conversation Circle on Regenerative Cultures Work collaborative vision and activations for “Cultivating Whole-Systems Solutions for grassroots thriving”. This leads us into the intimate live concert by ROOTS GROWN DEEP world-music ensemble. Tickets to this soul-nurturing event are limited due to available space inside the sound-sanctuary. SATURDAY 29 March
🔶Our Family Fun Day starts at 09:00 until 15:00 and activities include:
— Yoga, Movement and Meditations
— Design and print your own t-shirt competition. Winning T-shirt will get reprinted to help raise funds for a local charitable organisation and the Grow Healthy Communities vision for nodal regeneration.
— Bookreadings of local children’s literature.
— Children’s Songs & Stories featuring Bruce Copley, Meri Kanu (aka Meri Kenaz), Abraham Van Den Berg, JKE (Joel Karabo Elliot of Roots Grown Deep world-music ensemble, Tanith Christie Scott (of Seed2Fire).
— Elemental Fire & Water by Liesl Haasbroek.
— Drum-circle by Learning Clan community.
— Maker’s Market
— Talent Exchange talks and activations on sovereignty through local currency.
