Local director Gene Flake directs this musical which tells the story of Agnes and George’s marriage from their wedding night to 35-years later.
“I DO! I DO!” is a TONY winning musical comedy first produced on Broadway in 1966 by David Merrick starring Mary Martin and Robert Preston (originally directed by Gower Champion, book and lyrics by Tom Jones, music by Harvey Schmidt). It is based on the Jan de Hartog play “The Fourposter” which had 560 performances and won numerous awards.
The play will be performed on February 19th, 20th and 21st at 7:30 pm and will have a matinee performance on Sunday, February 22nd at 3:00 pm. Ticket prices ($79 per evening and $69 for the matinee) include gourmet dinner prepared by Grotto Wood-Fired Grill and Wine Cave. A limited number of non-dinner tickets at $25 are also be available. This show is sure to sell out!
All net proceeds will benefit The Purple Flower funding their efforts to assist survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking in Carroll County, AR.
