The Snail on the Wall bookstore is pleased to present a unique arts experience: a Musical Book Talk featuring author Xhenet Aliu and musician Amelia Ray. In addition to conversation about Xhenet Aliu's new book, Everybody Says It's Everything, you'll enjoy songs from Amelia Ray.
The event is free to attend, but a ticket is required. Books will be available for purchase.
The event is hosted by The Snail on the Wall, at The Snail on the Wall bookstore, 816 Wellman Avenue, Huntsville, on Saturday, March 22 at 6 pm.
About Xhenet Aliu:
Xhenet Aliu's debut novel, Brass, won both the Townsend Prize and the Georgia Author of the Year First Novel Prize. Aliu's writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, LitHub, and elsewhere. In Everybody Says It's Everything, twins growing up in America in 1999 unravel larger truths about identity and sibling bonds when one gets wrapped up in the war in Kosovo.
About Amelia Ray:
Amelia Ray is a writer, composer and performer whose performances bring to life intricate, rhythmic and emotional musical stories full of characters as raw, confused and contradictory as we all are. The San Francisco native has performed across the States and Europe, was selected to appear at the 2024 National Women’s Music Festival, and has a new song called "Pretending to Read."
