About this Event
Music at Kohl Mansion and the San Mateo Public Library present a Musical Conversation with Musica Pacifica featuring a Baroque holiday program: Hijinks of the High Baroque: Composers Behaving Badly. Enjoy festive music of Georg Philipp Telemann, Francesco Maria Veracini, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Joseph-Nicolas-Pancrace Royer, Jean-Marie Leclair, Johann Georg Pisendel, and Johann Sebastian Bach - punctuated with hilarious stories of the composers' misdeeds and shenanigans. Musica Pacifica is Judith Linsenberg, recorder; Ingrid Matthews, violin; Alexa Haynes-Pilon, viola da gamba; Charles Sherman, harpsichord; with guest soprano soloist Chea Kang. This event will be in the Oak Room at the Main Library. Tickets are not required or accepted.
