In 1619 Michael Praetorius published his most important work, the collection Polyhymnia Caduacedrix & Panegyrica, which contains 40 instrumental-vocal works for 2 to 26 voices in 6 choirs.Musica Fura is working on a total project around this collection: the reissue of the complete collection in modern notation, the recording of all works on CD, and a concert program in which the instructions for the performance of Praetorius himself are followed as closely as possible.
